Responsibilities:

Perform technical requirements gathering, use-case discovery, and platform analysisGenerate convincing and substantiated technology and architecture recommendationsDevelop and maintain software requirements specification and architecture documentsServe as the primary day-to-day technical contact for Clients, third-party vendors, technology partners and internal project stakeholdersCollaborates with Technology Directors to develop estimates and overall implementation solution plansServe as the lead for all implementation, customization, and integration effortsDefine and document best practices and contribute to company knowledge sharing effortsIdentify and define integration points with third party solutionsDefine and document all tools and technologies used to implement the solutionWork with vendor services to provide elements related to technology selection and implementationPerform problem analysis (identify root causes, outline resolution options, and take appropriate actions to resolve problems)Prepare and deliver technical proposals and presentations to all levels of a client’s organizationEvaluate vendor documentation and technical requirements to accurately estimate time and cost of identified options in order to make recommendations on approach from the business perspective

Requirements/Qualifications:

6 years developing and leading large-scale technology engagement Advanced knowledge of programming languages (e.g. .NET, PHP,SQL,  Flash/Flex,) and the ability to propose alternative solutions and cost-benefit analysis based on these technologiesExpert-level knowledge in Web 2.0 technologies, including AJAX.Expert-level knowledge of object-oriented design concepts, various frameworks, data storage implementations and enterprise design patternsExpert-level design and modeling experience with Oracle, SQL Server.Be familiar with each of the various UML forms and have expertise in the development of use cases, class diagrams, and occasionally state diagrams as wellExtensive experience working with enterprise level CMS systems, ecommerce platforms and enterprise search solutionsBackground with portals, and framework technologies(e.g.: Microsoft SharePoint)Experience managing technology teams of 10+ people (developers, QA, etc.)Advanced ability to analyze business requirements quickly to determine and assess feasibilityMust have an excellent understanding of best practices across technologies (client/server-side, QA, deployment, project management etc.)Work with resource managers to define overall recruiting needs and expertise in solution areaMentor and guide more junior technical resourcesExcellent time management, problem solving, teamwork, and communication skillsExperience building applications and websitesComputer science degree preferred
